Background
Effective protection and use of IPRs is seen as fundamental to maintain Europe’s future global competitiveness. The workshop is expected to develop suggestions for a roadmap and timeline “Towards An Intellectual Property Rights Strategy for Innovation in Europe” and debate how the IPR system can support innovation, R&D investment, access to global markets and more generally contribute to the future quality of life of Europe’s citizens.
